The New York Talent Pipeline Team kicks off 2024 by adding a new network based in Northern New Jersey
BETHPAGE, NEW YORK – October 4, 2024. On October 2, 2024, The Talent Pipeline Program New York Team Kickoff was successfully held at the Heritage Club at Bethpage. The event was characterized by its inspiration and motivation for the participants. The occasion commenced with Alignment to the Mission in our effort to strengthen America's economy and defense capabilities.
The Talent Pipeline Program is embarking on a mission to revitalize the maritime and defense industrial base by developing a skilled workforce. The program's key objectives include empowering employers to strengthen their teams through strategic recruitment, comprehensive training, effective retention strategies, and creating a sustainable talent pipeline with critical skills. The initiative aligns with the US Navy's increasing Defense Industrial Base Workforce requirements, which aim to deliver 1 Columbia-class and 2 Virginia-class submarines plus sustainment annually by 2028!
We also introduced the new network based in Northern New Jersey and welcomed them as a part of the New York Talent Pipeline Program.
The event was sponsored by Ms. Stefanie Link, Executive Director, In-Service Submarines Program Executive Office, Attack Submarines (PEO SSN), who delivered a keynote address that proved visionary and inspiring for all attendees.
Ms. Lindsay Webster, the Team Submarine Chief of Staff, and Lieutenant Spencer Pruitt served as special guests, imparting invaluable insights and enriching the understanding of the importance of our mission. Special recognition was given to the Teammates of the day, Lourdes Industries, Inc. and Globe Grinding Inc., for their outstanding engagement in support of the mission, and the day concluded with Lieutenant Spencer Pruit's presentation of the game balls!
The Talent Pipeline Team in New York sincerely thanks all our partners who participated in this event.
