Penn Machine Works, Leadership Retention Training

Pennsylvania Machine Works recognized as a Best Practice Model employer in the U.S. Navy Talent Pipeline Program for the years 2023-2025, proudly hosted a highly successful leadership training event on December 12th and 13th, 2023. The event garnered widespread attention and featured a total of 35 enthusiastic attendees.

The event, titled "Event Leadership Retention Training and 5th Metric Scorecard," was a comprehensive program derived from TMG's renowned Heartbeat Leader Training. This specialized leadership training aimed to equip leaders with essential tools and support to identify and manage various teammate engagement levels. By fostering a data-driven approach to workforce development, the program focused on enhancing morale, productivity, and efficiency while minimizing waste.

Developed in collaboration with company leadership, the training was a customized initiative designed to elevate leadership skills and provide ongoing coaching support. Emphasizing the critical role of the first-line supervisor as the Heartbeat Leader, TMG utilized the 5th Metric Scorecard as a key tool to measure and enhance team engagement. The Scorecard facilitated data-driven discussions, supported teammate development, and optimized operational efficiency, retention, and cost control.

The training program highlighted the importance of prioritizing Heartbeat Leader support within an organization. The 5th Metric Scorecard, tailored to align with company standards, was complemented by four hours of training and collaborative development with company leadership.

Pennsylvania Machine Works is proud to have hosted this successful event, providing valuable insights and tools for leadership development. The company remains committed to supporting organizations in fostering strong leadership, promoting employee engagement, and driving overall operational excellence.
